The Komayaka Karate Club was established in 2007, the style of karate practised is the traditional style of Shukokai. The Chief Instructor is Sensei Garry Lewis who has trained in Shukokai for the last 27 years.  Sensei Lewis, is a 4th Dan Black Belt, a level III Coaching Instructor, Association Regional Referee and an Association Dan Grading Officer.

The Assistant Instructors are Sempai Duwain Chase who is a 2nd Dan Black Belt, Association Regional Referee and a level II Coaching Instructor and Sensei Mike Wilde who is a 4th Dan Black Belt, Association Regional Judge and a level III Coaching Instructor.
